This week, we were proud to host our second WIS Teacher Academy workshop, led by the wonderful Ms Sonandré. Her session on early childhood development was not only informative, but wonderfully interactive, reminding us of the powerful role early years education plays in shaping confident, capable learners.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the Teacher Academy is the opportunity to connect with educators from across Windhoek, not just within our own school. Bringing together professionals from different contexts, experiences, and perspectives enriches our collective learning in ways that simply cannot happen in isolation. It is truly special to build these relationships beyond our own walls and to grow as a wider educational community.
When we come together; sharing expertise, reflecting on practice, and learning side by side - we model the very collaboration we hope to inspire in our students. These workshops are more than professional development; they are moments where we strengthen our shared purpose as educators across the city.
As we deepen these connections, we strengthen student learning. Collaborative, reflective educators build curious, capable, and compassionate learners, and it is through this shared effort that we help shape a strong generation of young people ready to explore and understand their world.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, engaged wholeheartedly, and contributed to another meaningful session. Together, with our colleagues across Windhoek, we continue to grow, inspire, and make a difference.
