An exciting leadership opportunity awaits! Windhoek International School is seeking an experienced and visionary PYP Primary Principal to guide a dynamic learning community committed to the ideals of WIS and framework of the IB Primary Years Programme.

POSITION PROFILE
The Primary School Principal is the administrative, instructional, and pastoral leader of Kindergarten to Grade 5. The postholder serves on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Educational Leadership Team (Ed Team), the Admissions Team and other teams and committees as necessary. The Primary School is defined as Grades Kindergarten (age 3) to Grade 5 (age 11). There are approximately 240 students enrolled in WIS Primary School.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

A postgraduate qualification or certificate in Educational Leadership or related field.

IB PYP certification or documented IB professional development.

Demonstrated experience implementing or leading the IB Primary Years Programme, including PYP curriculum, assessment, and inquiry-based pedagogy.

Strong track record of staff development, coaching, and supporting teacher growth.

Experience fostering a positive school culture and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

Knowledge of inclusive education, differentiated instruction, safeguarding, and student well-being systems.
