Crocheting and knitting are more than just creative hobbies; they offer numerous benefits for students of all ages. These activities support the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. The repetitive movements help the brain to relax, reduce stress, and improve focus. They also stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, strengthening the connection between them and enhancing overall learning ability.

In our crochet and knitting group at school, students enjoy a calm and welcoming space where they can be creative, work with their hands, and take pride in what they make. I also try to speak as much German as possible during the sessions, so students not only craft but also improve their language skills in a relaxed environment. Above all, crocheting and knitting support students’ well-being.
