The WIS Teacher Academy 28 October 2025 - Approaches to Teaching and Learning

Five WIS teachers - Deidre Leonard (Thinking), Paige MacDonald (Inquiry), Danielle Henry (Differentiation), Kate Linder (Collaboration) and Rick Fitzpatrick (International-mindedness) - shared an array of engaging IB Approaches to Teaching and Learning tips with twenty teachers from schools around Windhoek in the inaugural session of the WIS Teacher Academy for 2025-2026. 

Four WIS Secondary students - Kazuki Sadamoto, Naeem Robiati, Hala Ayoub and Tinashe Musavengana - shared the student perspective on how they feel themselves benefiting from the ‘WIS Way of Teaching/Learning’ that promotes critical thinking and deep learning.. 

One participant conveyed in the final plenary stated that ‘I am blown away by this informative session and all these amazing and engaging things happening in WIS classrooms.’’
