This HPAIR Leadership Program by the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations is a 3-day programme that will bring together exceptional mentors from the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations to engage, mentor, and inspire students.

Please find below the details of the programme.

The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations Leadership Program hosted by the Windhoek International School

Spread over 3 action-packed days, the mission of the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations Leadership Program is to indulge school students with strong leadership potential in immersive learning engagements, discussions, and mentorship. The programme will focus on leadership, problem-solving, communication, public speaking, and critical thinking while working with students toward a final ‘Actionable Project’ under the guidance of student mentors.

These skills are essential for tomorrow’s changemakers and future leaders.

Students will work in small groups throughout the programme on an impactful ‘Actionable Project’ designed to tackle real-world problems, stimulate ideas for future collaborative projects, and mould young learners into future leaders.

What will students gain?

- Learn a systematic, comprehensive approach to solving real-world problems from trained and dedicated Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations mentors.

- Hone your thought process to become more analytical and creative.

- Use data to quantify and validate your proposed solutions.

- Practise your communication skills to convey your recommendations effectively.

- Brainstorm practical methods to implement your solutions.

- Enhance your portfolio with a certificate from the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations, and through actionable projects.

There is an opportunity for one student to be sponsored to participate

  • If you are interested in the programme, but the fee is making it impossible to sign up, you could write a motivation letter to Mr. Reiff (mreiff@wis.edu.na) and explain why it would be particularly relevant for you to participate and why it is not possible for your parents to fund this workshop for you.

  • From the motivations, we will then select a student to be sponsored for this event. Thank you kindly to the generous sponsors.
