I started at WIS in 2008 in Year 2. I completed the PYP, Middle School and IGCSE Programmes, and lastly the IB Diploma Programme. I can confidently say that the two years of the IBDP changed my life, it particularly changed my perspective. These two years - 2018 to 2020 - were 2 crucial for my formation.
I remember just passing my IGCSE in Grade 10. I got into the IB Diploma Programme on probation, and ended up finishing it with a diploma and an award - the Certificate of Extraordinary Achievement.
The Diploma Programme did not only give me a global advantage in terms of qualifications - for uni and work purposes - but it taught me how to manage my time, it taught me responsibility, and working with a fixed long term plan. I feel that these three factors are lifelong skills I'll always take with me wherever I go.
The IB Diploma helped me get accepted into all three Business Schools I applied to. The IB Diploma got me into my top choice university - the Geneva Business School in Barcelona, Spain. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of International Business Management with specialisation in International Management. I am half way through my undergraduate programme - three out of six semesters.
I would like to specifically thank the people that believed in me and helped me get into the IB Diploma Programme. I am not going to mention names as some teachers are no longer at WIS and it will take long to mention them all.
PS - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME TO ANY GRADE 10 STUDENT!
