Last week, the German class of Grade 6, went to a farm called “Hooves and Gardens”. It is a wonderful place, with lovely people and beautiful scenery, along with a wide array of animals that did not disappoint! The learning objective for this field trip was to talk in German with the employees of the farm and cafe, as our current topic was Animals, Friends, and Family.
It offered us students practical opportunities to apply our German skills in a real-life situation. We ate very yummy farm bread and got to know the farmer. We got food from the cafe, and a few students almost bought a bunny for N$50!
This was a wonderful field trip, and we hope that we can do it again soon.
