On the 9th March the Grade 7 German class took a field trip to the lovely farm of hooves and gardens. This farm is a place full of fun and love, with delicious food and much room for creative experiences on their large and expansive playground, along with all of the majestic animals that live there.
The learning objective for this trip was to allow students to have more real life exposure to ordering food in drinks while speaking German in our unit Essen und Trinken, meaning food and drinks. It also allowed the students to be in an environment where the people around them were speaking German, and all around us, we were hearing German, broadening our horizons with a lovely experience.
If you read our last article from the previous year you may have seen that we were tempted to adopt a bunny, and this year we actually did! One of our students now has a fuzzy and fluffy friend!
To conclude, we had a very happy time at Hooves and Gardens, jumping around the playground, eating wonderful and homemade food, talking in German, and petting the animals!
