Dear WIS Community,
As we bid farewell to another remarkable school year, it's time to reflect on the incredible journey of growth and discovery that our young learners have embarked upon. The classroom walls have witnessed countless moments of inspiration, creativity, and curiosity, as our children have thrived in their pursuit of knowledge. Now it is time for our students to revel in the joys of a well-deserved break!
Education is a dynamic process, one that extends far beyond the boundaries of traditional classrooms. Our children have been nurtured not only by books and lesson plans but also by learning experiences and an environment in which children can grow, discover, and develop their unique talents. Teachers try to unlock endless possibilities for our students' intellectual and social growth, as they take on the roles of engineers, artists, and scientists, they learn to collaborate, problem-solve, and think critically, all while embracing the sheer joy of childhood.
During the holiday, we encourage our students to carry their love for learning beyond the school walls. This break offers them an opportunity to explore their passions, delve into new realms of knowledge, and relish the pleasure of reading books they enjoy. Books hold the power to transport us to enchanting worlds, stimulate our imagination, and ignite our thirst for knowledge. Encourage your child to create a summer reading list filled with tales that captivate their interests, whether it be thrilling adventures, magical fantasies, or informative non-fiction. Let them lose themselves in the pages of captivating stories, where heroes are born and dreams take flight. As they embark on literary journeys, they will not only expand their vocabulary and improve reading skills but also cultivate a lifelong love for books!
Holidays are a time for children to reconnect with the world beyond academics, to engage in hobbies, and to discover new talents. Moments of unstructured play and wonder are where their imaginations can soar and their creativity can flourish.
As we conclude this school year, let us celebrate the remarkable growth our children have achieved, the knowledge they have acquired, and the friendships they have forged. The vacation serves as a reminder that education is not confined to the four walls of a classroom but extends to the boundless horizons of the world itself.
In the Primary at WIS, we eagerly await your return, ready to embark on another exciting year of learning, shared experiences and joyful discoveries.
Enjoy your well-deserved break, and we'll see you next school year!
Warmest regards,
Marcelle van Leenen
Primary School Principal
