Welcome to WIS! What would you like us to know about you?

Excited to be part of WIS. I’m a hardworking and a creative person who loves learning and finding new ways to solve problems. I am very good at learning new software and applications. I have experience in digital marketing and business which has helped me develop strong organisational, leadership and communication skills. Outside of work I usually spend most of my time in the gym or outdoors. I am passionate about technology and how I can create new engaging projects. WIS have played a huge role in my journey, and I am excited to give back to the community that shaped me.

Could you tell us a little about your philosophy of education?

I believe that education should be engaging , practical and creative. My goal as a teacher is to create and learning environment where my students feel excited to learn, explore, ask questions as well as develop new creative ideas that will help them beyond the classroom. I also believe that every student learns differently, I would try to use different teaching methods to make sure everyone has the chance to succeed.

People often like to know their teacher’s academic background and professional experiences. What and where have you studied? Where have you worked?

I completed my International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE) and Advanced Subsidiary (AS-Level) at St Georges College. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Digital Marketing remotely at Mancosa.

Professionally, I have gained experience in the different sectors I have worked in the past. I worked as a filling clerk at Cymot, a sales representative for TST and Pretty Little Glow, and an intern in Digital Marketing at Sell Fast Real Estate. These roles have helped me develop strong organisation, marketing and communication skills. I also have experience in content creation, social media marketing and business management which I gained through the launch of my perfume business. I would use all my skills to make learning more engaging and relevant for students.

What do you do when you aren't teaching?

I am super physically active, when I have free time, I go hiking, gyming and I enjoy cooking interesting meals that help me closer to my fitness goals. I always try to make food both delicious and enjoyable for my family and I.

Why did you choose WIS?

I have always loved WIS and everything the school has done for me. I really like the educational system WIS has been implementing. If it wasn’t for WIS, I wouldn’t have discovered so many of the things I know.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you?

I am a big dog lover and enjoy painting when I am at my most peaceful. I am also currently training for a marathon, which has been an exciting challenge. I have a big heart for kids, probably because growing up I was the only child for 11 years and begged my parents for siblings . When my sisters were born I naturally took on a role as a mom in a sense. So I have been around kids from a young age. That is the big reason why teaching feels so natural to me.
