Every year in September millions of people around the world come together to participate in International Clean-Up Month. This global event is a great reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the environment and create a cleaner, healthier planet for future generations. Plastics, chemicals, and other waste materials can harm wildlife, pollute water sources, and degrade natural landscapes. By participating in clean-up efforts, we help mitigate these effects and contribute to the preservation of our ecosystems.
How We Can Get Involved
This year, we are partaking in an initiative organised by the Recycle Namibia Forum to clean up the schoolyard and collect trash during second break on September 12th. Furthermore, we would like for you all to bring recyclable materials (i.e. plastic bottles, cardboard, etc.) throughout next week to your homerooms to partake in the recycling competition. Another fun way you can participate is by partaking in the recycling competition where you can wear any item made from recycled materials on the 12th, and we will be taking a school picture with everyone who has participated! For further information, please take a look at the poster attached! Please let your friends and classmates know about this exciting event.
Together we can make a difference!
