‘’Dive into Victory’’
I would like to acknowledge the group of students who participated in the Bank Windhoek Long Course National Swimming Championship 2024 last week. Swimmers from local swimming clubs competed against each other over four days. As I have mentioned many times before, swimming is one of the most beautiful sports, teaching swimmers perseverance, determination, consistency, and self-discipline. I am delighted to announce that our swimmers performed exceptionally well, surpassing their previous personal records.
Numerous WIS students displayed outstanding performances, securing places on the podium and earning well-deserved medals. Encompassing a wide age range, the national championship brings together WIS swimmers from Grade 2's Dani all the way up to Grade 11's Salome, highlighting the inclusive nature of our swimming program.
