About a year ago, I was speaking with a friend in the United States who runs a white-water rafting and kayaking shop. I told him about the amazing job that the Felix Unite guides do for us on the Orange River, and he was thoroughly impressed. A few months later we received a wonderful donation from my friend of over $1000 usd in the form of professional, white-water life-vests.
Fast forward to last week on the Orange River. We presented these new life-vests to our guides as a token of our appreciation for years of hard work with our school. Their smiles went from ear to ear, and they ran around camp showing everybody they could their new kit.
These gestures help us build positive, professional relationships between Windhoek International School and the larger community. Our guides on the Orange River deserve to have the best kit possible, and I thank my friend immensely for his donation.
