Grade 9 German Swakopmund Trip
The Grade 9 German class went on an adventure-filled trip to Swakopmund from the 29th to the 31st of January. Our class left the school grounds early in the morning to make the most of our time in Swakop. After a fairly calm road trip, we arrived in Swakopmund at Amanpuri Backpackers. Everybody claimed their space, and then we were off to Checkers to buy snacks and ingredients for the cooking group. This also gave us time to walk around and prepare ourselves for our first act

The Power of the Pause: At WIS we are "dealing with feeling" in a fast-paced era

In line with an intentional drive at WIS to promote and educate for reading, our students made an impressive start with this project:
Take a Book, Leave a Book Increasing Literacy Rates One Page at a Time Who says libraries need to be in a building? Why can’t they be on the roadside? A Little Library works on a “Take a Book, Leave a Book” free exchange, similar to normal libraries. They are usually in the form of a bookshelf, filled with books that anyone in the community can access at any time.
