On Thursday the 7th of December, the Grade 6 classes had the privilege of going to the Bernardt Nordkamp Center in Katutura to deliver all the lovely gifts from themselves and the wonderful Windhoek International School Community.
Our students had the opportunity to interact with the children from the center and they shared games and stories about each other. It was a lovely afternoon with lots of fun and laughter and delicious hotdogs donated by Renata Machado, a parent from our community. We also had yummy cake and doughnuts, which was an afternoon experience to remember.
We would like to thank our newly formed WPN who went above and beyond involving and notifying community members of the drive and helping us ensure that all the children at the center received a gift for this festive season.
Thank you also to the primary Christmas committee who fundraised for toys to be donated. These were also handed over to the children.
Last but not least we would like to thank our dear parents, Nini, Pravesh, Ulrike, Star, Fatmeh, and Bruno for driving us to the center, staying with us, and helping to keep things organised. We truly appreciate the support. Thank you also to Mr Benedict who drove us to school and helped fix the shade netting while we were all playing!
Wishing all our families a safe holiday filled with happiness and cheer!
With a grateful heart,
Ms. Jacky, Ms. Urte and Ms. Seodhna
