WIS Welcomes the NEASC Accreditation Team to our campus
From Monday, 28 September, to Thursday, 1 October, WIS welcomes 4 visitors from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges to our campus. In the past 12 months, WIS prepared for this visit. We submitted a report to NEASC for their evaluation and advice. The visit will be an opportunity for our school to have “critical friends” on campus who will review our Foundation Standards as well as the 10 Learning Principles that NEASC/ACE guides us with to be a school where teaching and learning is progressive in a caring and safe environment.
Diane, Howard, Beatrice and Karuna will be on campus having conversations with students, parents, teachers and the Board to get the voice of everyone in our community about their WIS experience and the things we are proud of as a community, as well as areas for growth at our school.
We want to appreciate all students, parents, teachers and staff members who volunteered to participate in this process for their time and input in the process. It has helped us reflect on our practices and on the way forward and what we want to prioritise in the coming cycle. Our Major Learning Plans and the WIS Strategic Plan will guide WIS’ further growth in our approach to teaching and learning and ensuring a community that is caring and safe for all and where our “Shared Understanding of High Quality Learning” applies to all members of our community:
