Swapna Sharma

Swapna Sharma joined WIS as an English Language and Literature teacher in 2014. She is the Windhoek International School’s Staff Association (WISSA) representative on the Board of Directors. Prior to teaching, Swapna worked as a journalist in India for 6 years and as a consulting editor for various international organisations in Botswana and Namibia for 20 years. She is in Namibia with her spouse Dr. Diganta Sarma, a senior consultant hydrogeologist. They have two boys, who are alumni of WIS, and live and work in Canada. When not engaged with WIS work, Swapna loves to spend her time with her family and friends, reading, doing occasional community service, and pottering around the house and garden.
