Stepping Away? Lock Your Device!

Imagine receiving a response to an email you supposedly sent, but you are certain you never sent it. Or perhaps someone tells you that you shared a document, approved something, or sent a message that you don't remember sending.

One possible reason? Your device was left open, unattended, and unlocked.

In our increasingly connected world, it is easy to forget this simple step, especially when we are just stepping away for a minute. But an unattended, unlocked device can give someone access to your emails, documents, photos, personal information, and other accounts.

With cyber crime on the rise, protecting our information starts with simple everyday habits. Locking your computer, laptop or tablet whenever you step away is one of the easiest ways to add an extra layer of protection.

This applies whether you are at school, at home, at work, in a coffee shop or travelling. It protects not only organisational information, but your own personal data too.

So, before you walk away, take that extra second:

Stepping away? Lock it. Every time.

A small habit can make a big difference.
