The Grade 5 students have been enjoying a memorable outdoor education experience at the beautiful Rooisand Desert Ranch. Despite a slight delay due to a navigation detour, our young explorers arrived excited and quickly settled in with a refreshing pool session and a hearty meal. Their first afternoon was spent learning about our solar system, culminating in an evening of stargazing through a large telescope. The following day brought a challenging scavenger hunt where students utilized their map-reading and navigation skills to locate ingredients for their dinner—a great success! Students balanced their active adventures with relaxation time, enjoying swimming, volleyball, and board games before embarking on an ambitious afternoon hike. Both students and teachers alike have been making the most of this enriching outdoor experience. The group is expected to return to school by 5:00 PM tomorrow.
