My Experience at WIS - Muir Powell Annie Wright School, Tacoma, USA

My experiences in Namibia have been some of the best and most memorable of my life. As with all great experiences, there were some great people that made this possible and I would love to take this opportunity to thank them.

First of all, I would like to thank my host family, the Cui's. They made me feel at home right away and did an excellent job giving me a tour in Namibia. They also took me on adventures around Windhoek and to Swakopmund that I will remember for years to come. A few memories that stood out to me were going to the Windhoek Sky Restaurant, going on the catamaran boat in Walvis Bay, and going to the dunes.

Second, I would like to thank the teachers and students at WIS for being so welcoming and kind. I have been blown away by how many people have included me in their activities and otherwise made friends with me when they really did not have to. From Model UN to Paintballing, I have made great friends and had great experiences with students at WIS, and I look forward to welcoming them when they come to Annie Wright as part of the Global Alliance Exchange.

Third, I would like to thank the coordinators, Ms. Ward, and Ms. Kate. They were instrumental in making this possible. From finding the best deal on plane tickets to making sure we had all of our travel documents to organizing activates such as going to a wildlife center and so much more. My favorite memory from the school trips in Namibia is the trip to N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary, and I am excited to create more memories with the exchange students as they come to Tacoma and come on our school outings.

I have had an amazing time in Namibia, and I am so thankful for all that made it possible!
