This morning, the Primary students honoured the life and legacy of Namibia's Founding President, His Excellency Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma. Parents are invited to attend the Memorial Assembly on Thursday 27 February at 7:30am.

Dear WIS Community,

Through class discussions, moments of silence at Sports Day, and creative expressions in art and events, WIS students and faculty have been reflecting on Dr. Sam Nujoma’s unwavering commitment to Namibia’s independence and what it means to live in a free country.

Dr. Nujoma presided over the opening of our campus in 1994, and generations of 'WIS Kids' have drawn inspiration from his resilience, leadership, and deep love for Namibia.

We invite parents and special guests to join our Grade 8–12 students for a special assembly on Thursday from 7:30–8:00 AM in the WIS Auditorium, honoring his life and legacy.

Our guest speaker will be H.E. Monica Nashandi, WIS Board member & former High Commissioner to the UK, who worked closely with Dr. Nujoma. In this video, she reflects on his charisma, firm decision-making, and ideological leadership:
