In this coming week, we will be sending our MYP5 and IBDP students into their exam preparation period to start their final external exams at the end of April and beginning of May. As we cheer you on to start this stretch of your educational journey, we want to wish you all the best. You have been working very hard to prepare for these exams and to submit your internal assessments. You have learnt how to organise yourself, manage your time and be confident and proactive with your studies and in your education.
We are confident that you will now go into these exams well prepared and ready to show how you have lived the WIS Principles of Purpose, People, Excellence, Ownership, Creativity and Sustainability. All these will to some extent and in some form apply to the exams that you are about to take – or have already started taking through your Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, Personal Project, ePortfolio, Internal Assessments and Orals. You have shown that you are prepared and ready to take on this challenge and be the best you can be. You have had and still have the support of WIS, your teachers, your parents and peers. Make sure you use this support and let that be a pillar of strength combined with your own grit and resilience. We know that you will successfully complete this last part of your secondary education and then move on to do amazing things.

All the best! WIS is proud of you. WIS is rooting for you! Keep in touch, and let us know where life’s journey takes you!
Respectfully
Maggie Reiff
High School Principal

Played Marble Sort in the grocery line and nearly missed moving forward because I was busy trying to fix a level I had very obviously ruined myself. That’s why it works. Your mistakes are visible. They keep rolling around that stupid belt until you do something about them. It’s not one of those games where bad moves vanish. They haunt the board.
This is such a motivating and encouraging message for students entering such an important phase. As per my experience as a student, this period can feel both exciting and overwhelming, but it’s also the time when all the hard work truly comes together. Learning time management, organization, and confidence really makes a difference during exams. There were moments when the pressure felt intense and I even thought Take my marketing class just to keep up, but with the right support from teachers and family, it becomes manageable. Wishing all students the very best, stay focused, believe in yourself, and give it your best effort.
